Hey… just found out through Matt’s (Mullenweg) website that the book, “Wordpress for Dummies”, is actually coming out! For those who are experienced “Wordpressers” already, for what it’s worth, wouldn’t it be nice to have a copy of it sitting around on your bedside table? Good reading material before retiring for the night, eh? Heck, it’s even a wonderful book to take along with you inside the toilet when the call of nature arrives! Who knows… we might even learn some new tricks that we never actually new existed in Wordpress!
For those who have just made the leap to Wordpress or blogging for that matter, all the more that you should go out and get a copy of the book… it’ll help hasten the learning curve and make you seem like an experienced Wordpresser. Talk about “hardsell”! Haha!
Amazon.com is already accepting pre-orders and costs only $16.49! According to Matt, the book comes out on October 29th. I have no idea how fast it’ll be on shelves here at National Bookstore or Power Books… hopefully very soon as well.
I’m pretty sure most of my fellow community buddies over at Wordpress Pinoys would love to get their hands on this book! And for those in our group who have, at one time or another, thought of having their own self-hosted Wordpress blog but just couldn’t make the BIG leap because they feel intimidated or overwhelmed by the daunting task of starting over, wouldn’t it be wonderful to have this so as to ease your transition from Wordpress.com to Wordpress.org?
Author, Lisa Sabin-Wilson, talks about the book:

Chuckstar - thank you for the mention of WordPress For Dummies. I’m very excited about it - - although, as I was writing it, I never really considered it to be bathroom reading..but I think you’re onto something there. Heh. If you have a chance to read it, drop me a line later and let me know your thoughts. Many thanks!

You’d be surprised as to how much one person can absorb reading a good book inside the bathroom.
Hi Lisa! C’mon now… you never really considered it to be very good bathroom reading material? LOL! Some of the best ideas I’ve come up with were conceived during my special “alone time” while staring at the tiles in front of me. Hee-hee!
But it all seriousness, I’m really looking forward to getting a copy of it!
I’m confident this book will be a bestseller!
Thanks for dropping by! I’ll make sure to message you as soon as I’m able to purchase one and go through it.
More power, Lisa!

I’ll choose the online Wordpress Update reading instead. I can’t even read a fictional book nor visit a bookstore, parang “deep” masyado to kesa sa Harry Potter.

Hehe… I understand. But I recently discovered that there actually is an “E-Book” version of this which will be available as well soon. That’ll probably be more to your liking!

Yeah… I heard there’s an “ebook” format of it coming out as well. You can check it out HERE.
Though it is nice to read an “actual” book… especially when you’re alone in bed before sleeping. Hehehe…
