Alas, Bat Freaks! A new image of the Joker (Heath Ledger) has surfaced… similarly scary cool! And unlike Jack Nicholson’s version of Batman’s arch enemy, this incarnation of the Joker is darker, homicidal and more sinister…
This Joker looks like a he just escaped from drug rehab and is going through a really bad withdrawal period!
Can’t wait for 2008!

On a lighter note..
Chuck, have you read about mother teresa’s dark night of the soul? You know, she heard jesus talk to her when she was a simple nun and then telling her to go and help the needy… She felt God’s presence….
and then God just went away after several years. She couldn’t feel his presence anymore.
I cried as I read some of her letters to her confessor… She was trying to reach out to God but God didn’t answer her. She was reaching out in the dark…
I imagined her reaching out blindly in the dark and saying:
“Lord, I cannot feel you anymore… Lord, where are you?”
and she never got an answer from HIM. :-C
It just breaks my heart. Poor mother teresa.

Yeah, I heard about Mother Teresa’s story… have yet to read the book. But you have to admire her persistence and faith to carry on like that without doubting…

Well, actually… Batman’s character in comics had long been portrayed in films so untruthfully. Batman Begins is exactly how he is in comics. That is why it became so successful.
As for other movies, hmmmm… I’m not quite sure up to what degree they plan to keep on making “darker” remakes.
