Did you know that there are people still out there who actually help others without expecting anything in return?  I’m not talking about relatives and family members, ok? …that’s a given.

I’m talking about friends… distant acquaintances… even strangers… people who are, in one way or another, also in need… sometimes even in dire desperation, but actually go out of their way to still help others.  Individuals who extend assistance even when they themselves are inconvenienced.  I’ve always believed that the best help is when one is able to reach out to another especially when the person helping makes a conscious effort to really reach out.

I know very few of these people (you know who you are)… and I am blessed to know them.  These are persons whom I pray each and every day for.  These are souls used by God to bless others.

I only wish that one day, the Lord in turn, may use me as well to bless these individuals and others who are also in dire need (Mediterranean cruises for everyone, maybe?  Hahaha!  Who knows!).  Praise God for everything.

Amen to that. The Bible says that “Give and it will come back to you, pressed down, shaken together, running over.” Isn’t that good news? All we have to do is give and do not expect something back and surely God will bless us. :)

    Good post :)

Amen to that. He who puts himself last is made first in the eyes of the Lord. :)

Hey Kengks! Yes… when you help someone and expect something in return, it isn’t “help” anymore. Likewise, when you help ONLY when it is convenient for you, it isn’t help as well.

People (most of them) are so self-serving.

True… but your motives shouldn’t be that you don’t expect anything in return from man and God will bless you afterwards.

You SHOULD expect NOTHING at all from anyone… give freely not even thinking about God’s blessings… and only then will He be able to fill you up.

Praise God that your heart is in the right place, LivingSoul. Keep the faith! God bless! :D

Pray to the Lord to open up your heart and to make you feel the burden of others. Pray not to emulate one person but to be in the likeness of Christ whom we all should aspire to imitate.

And add this to your prayer as well… “Lord, free me from all worldly desires and use me as Your instrument to bless others as well.”

Remember, we are blessed by the Lord IN ORDER for us to bless others in return. We are merely stewards of these blessings… everything we have and everything we receive belongs to God. Everything. We are lent these things in forms of blessings and provisions so that we may wisely and faithfully use them to help those who are also in need… in this way, the Lord is glorified through our actions.

We should take no credit in our good deeds… this is the only way… and rather, we must consider our actions to be God’s hand at work in their lives. Should people thank you for the blessings, they should be reminded by us that all thanksgiving and praise must be directed to the Lord and the Lord alone.
