Oh man! I fell asleep last night as my wife was watching the Bb. Pilipinas Pageant on GMA-7… a little bit later, my wife dozed off as well and soon followed me to lala land…
Little did we know that we missed out on a lot of hilarious (and embarrassing) fun that only the “question and answer” portion of the contest could offer…
Thanks to technology (particularly YouTube), I am able to watch the abashing moments that took place last night at the Araneta Colosseum. I cringed as I saw a contestant answer her question… talk about beauty and (NO) brains! It’s entertainingly funny… funnier than plus size lingerie sites (whatever that means)! Of course, I have to let you guys in on the fun too so I am posting one of the best (meaning most mortifying) segments that went on. Enjoy… (I know you will!).

I just saw that pageant earlier on a blog and Oh man it was hilarious. The answer that caught my attention was the candidate named Patricia and the first one who was called (forgot her name). Yung una nabooo ng tao sobra kasi gusto daw nya si PGMA when asked by Ambassador Kenny. Yung isa naman when asked who she admire the most sinabi nya si Mother Teresa. Okay na sana kaso mo, humirit sa huli referring to mother teresa, “I believe that we should all DO HER”. haha I laughed so hard. Para bang sinabi na, okay Mother Teresa, pipilahan ka naming lahat. LOL

Yo Brutha! Yes… very hilarious. It’s just sometimes a pity to see what kind of education some of our contestants have attained.
One could somehow attribute it to their cracked nerves and the tension filled atmosphere… but you’d hope that they’d let out some flicker of intelligence.
What happens to these winners when they are placed on the international stage to compete against more equipped and better answering contestants?
